Student Found Dead in Pond : A ten-year-old boy was found dead in a pond in the parish of Trelawny on Thursday.
The student has been identified as Alcade Palmer, of Martha Brae community, also in Trelawny.
Reports indicate that relatives of the young student reported him missing shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, and a search was launched to locate him shortly after.
The search ended in grief around 10:00 a.m. after members of the search party discovered his body floating in a nearby pond in the community.
The police believe that Palmer may have drowned, but say they will have to wait for the results of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
