Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: A 24-year-old vendor was shot and killed by a lone gunman at his stall in Coronation Market in downtown Kingston on Thursday evening, May 31, 2018.
The deceased has been identified as, Damion McDonald, otherwise called “Plough” of a Metcalf Street in Kingston 14.
Reports by the Denham Town Police are that shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, McDonald was selling goods from his stall at the Coronation Market in downtown Kingston when he was approached by a man. The man reportedly brandished a handgun which he used to shoot the vendor several times to his upper body. He then fled the scene on foot.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
