St. Catherine, Jamaica — The past two months have been a harrowing ordeal for Anshellee Trought, who has been consumed by sleepless nights and overwhelming anxiety as she continues the desperate search for her missing two-year-old son, Roshawn English.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 26, Roshawn, affectionately known as ‘Poppy,’ disappeared from his yard in Red Ground, Old Harbour, St. Catherine. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. when Trought briefly stepped inside their home to gather items for Roshawn’s bath. Upon her return, her son was nowhere to be found.
Despite the immediate efforts of both parents and an extensive search conducted by the police, there have been no confirmed sightings or leads regarding Roshawn’s whereabouts. The situation has left the family in a state of deep distress, with Trought struggling to cope with the emotional toll of her son’s disappearance.
The anguish has taken a severe toll on Trought’s mental health, compounded by the responsibility of caring for her six-month-old son. The uncertainty about Roshawn’s well-being has made it difficult for her to focus on everyday tasks, including eating and caring for herself.
The search for Roshawn continues, with Trought and her family pleading for anyone with information to come forward. Authorities have issued a high alert, and the community is urged to assist in any way possible to bring the young boy home safely.
As time passes, the desperation grows, but the family remains hopeful that Roshawn will be found and reunited with them. Anyone with information about Roshawn’s whereabouts is urged to contact the authorities immediately.
