Kingston, Jamaica (McN) – Jamaican Dancehall superstar Alkaline who surrendered to police custody this morning is being held overnight at the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) headquarters, until Friday, February 10, 2017 when questioning will resume in connection with the murder of Rohan “Head” Morris..
Head of the JCF Corporate Communication Unit (CCU), Stephanie Lindsay, announced on Thursday evening after police conducted two rounds of questioning with Earlan Bartley aka Alkaline – the Deejay is being held overnight at the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) headquarters, until Friday, February 10, 2017 – when questioning will resume in connection with the murder of Rohan “Head” Morris.
Deejay Alkaline reported to the Area 4 police headquarters in Kingston at 9:25 am on Thursday, dressed in a red and black t-shirt, blue jeans pants and a red baseball cap. He was then transferred at around noon to the CIB Headquarters, where he is being held overnight.
Bartley is wanted for questioning in connection with the Murder of Rohan Morris.

Sources close to the deceased 28-year-old Morris, reportedly say, he was at home in January 2016, when gunmen kicked open his door and sprayed him with bullets, allegedly in the presence of his 5-year-old daughter who he said his last “I love you,” to before covering her with a mattress in a bid to shield her from death – then taking in over 15 rounds of gunshot to his body.
The murder of Morris is said to be related to an ongoing gangs war in the Maverley area.
