The decomposing body of a man was discovered on the grounds of a church in St. Catherine on Sunday night, according to police reports.
Officers from the Sligoville Police Station made the grim discovery while on assignment in the Top Jackson district at around 11:50 p.m. The body was found dressed in black sweatpants, a brown shirt, and a pair of Crocs.
The deceased was transported to Linstead Hospital, where he was officially pronounced dead.
Authorities have yet to confirm the identity of the man, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing.
