A man has been arrested, in connection with two separate fatal stabbings that occurred in Falmouth, Trelawny on Wednesday night.
The victims, both residents of Trelawny, have been identified as 44-year-old Noel Wilson of Water Lane, Falmouth, and Joel Corey of Martha Brae.
According to reports from the Falmouth Police, the first incident unfolded around 9:30 pm when Wilson was standing on Parade Street near the public sanitary facility. He was allegedly attacked by an assailant armed with a knife, who stabbed him in the neck and chest.
Approximately two hours later, at 11:17 pm, while the police were investigating the first scene, they received another distress call. This time, they were directed to Water Square in the town where Joel Corey had also fallen victim to a stabbing.
Corey was swiftly transported to the Falmouth Public General Hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
The Falmouth Police have reported that an arrest has been made, and they anticipate filing charges soon.
