Two Teenagers Shot, One Dead in Grange Hill, Westmoreland

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: An 18-year-old teenage boy was shot and killed, while another 17-year-old shot and injured by gunmen in the parish of Westmoreland on Sunday evening, June 24, 2018.

The deceased has been identified as, Akeem Samuels, otherwise called “Brandon”, 18-year-old unemployed of Riverside district in Kingsvale, Hanover.

Reports by the police are that about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Samuels and the other 17-year-old victim were walking along the roadway in Grange Hill when they were attacked by unknown assailants who shot them multiple times.

Residents in the area heard the gunshots, went to investigate and stumbled upon both victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were rushed to hospital where Samuels was pronounced dead and the other wounded teenager treated and admitted in serious condition.

The Morgans Bridge Police are now carrying out an investigation into this latest murder shooting.
