One man was shot and killed, and another was shot and injured, in the Farm district, Clarendon, on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Marlon McCarthy, of Bushy Park district, also in the parish.
Reports are that around 5:00 PM, McCarthy and another man went to visit a friend at his home on White Avenue in the Farm district.
While at the premises, they were pounced upon by armed men who opened fire, hitting both men.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, McCarthy and the other man were transported to the hospital, where McCarthy was pronounced dead, and the other man was treated and admitted in serious condition.
The friend escaped unhurt.
