Jamaica News: The Westmoreland police have reported that the two men, who were taken into custody in connection with an assault rifle and another firearm in Westmoreland on Friday morning of July 13th, will be questioned in the presence of their lawyer during the course of this weekend.
The police also reported that the names of the two accused who are also believed to be major player in the Lottery Scam are being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports by the Sav la Mar police are that, about 5:00 am on Friday, a team of officers carried out a pre-dawn raid at a premises located at a section of the area known as Chinester.
During the search of a house an M-16 assault rifle with a magazine containing ten live 5.56 rounds and a Smith and Wesson Revolver loaded with two live rounds were seized.
The lawmen also seized several cellphones, computers and a Toyota Avensis motor car, which were tools believed to have been used in the Lottery Scam. The two occupants of the house were taken into custody.
