St. Mary, Jamaica — Authorities have confirmed the identities of two men who lost their lives following a motor vehicle collision on the Boscobel Main Road on Friday morning, April 24, 2026.
The deceased are 49-year-old Terrice Richards and 57-year-old Rudolph Cox, both residents of Jeffery Town in the parish.
According to police reports, the incident occurred about 9:00 a.m. when two vehicles traveling in the same direction attempted to navigate traffic along the roadway near the rear entrance to Beaches Resort Boscobel. Investigators say one driver tried to overtake the other vehicle but collided with its rear while merging back into the lane.
The impact caused both vehicles to veer off the road and overturn. One of the vehicles reportedly struck a tree before overturning.
Emergency responders transported three individuals to hospital, where Richards and Cox were later pronounced dead. Other persons involved in the crash sustained injuries and received medical treatment.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force in St. Mary are continuing their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash. They are also urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to contact the Port Maria Police or the nearest station.
Investigations remain ongoing.
