CLARENDON, Jamaica — Two students of Lennon High School, a boy and a girl, tragically lost their lives this morning in a two-vehicle collision along the Bustamante Highway in the York Town area of Clarendon.
The crash, which occurred around 8:30 a.m., involved a Toyota Probox taxi and a Subaru motor car.
According to preliminary police reports, both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when the taxi allegedly failed to keep left, leading to the collision.
Seven people, including the students, sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Sadly, the two students succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment. The condition of the other injured passengers remains unclear at this time.
