ST JAMES, Jamaica — Emergency crews were called to the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident along the Flanker main road in St James a short while ago, where a man and a woman were rushed to hospital following a crash.
Reports are that the two individuals were travelling in a Toyota Rav4 when the vehicle reportedly swerved across the median, veered into oncoming traffic, and landed in a ditch.
Both occupants of the vehicle sustained varying degrees of injuries and were assisted by the fire department and police, who responded swiftly to the scene. They were later transported to the hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses say the vehicle was heading in the direction of Montego Bay when the incident occurred.
The cause of the crash is not yet known, and police are investigating.
