Two Dead in Fiery Crash on Hodges Main Road in St Elizabeth

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica: Two people lost their lives in a fiery collision on the Hodges main road near Black River on Saturday.

According to preliminary reports, the crash occurred at approximately 12:05 pm. Berry was driving a motorcycle towards Black River when he collided with a white Toyota Voxy taxi that was reportedly turning into the Hodges subdivision. The collision caused the motorcycle to burst into flames.

Several injured individuals, including Berry and Walters, who was a passenger in the taxi, were rushed to the Black River Hospital. Both were pronounced dead on arrival.

The Area Three Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the crash. Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota Voxy has been taken into police custody as part of the ongoing probe.
