The Annotto Bay police in St. Mary are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man in Enfield, St. Mary, on Saturday morning.
He has been identified as 22-year-old Lamar Hunter, also known as ‘Tubby’, a laborer from Epsom district in Annotto Bay, Trelawny.
Reports indicate that around 12:15 am, Hunter was walking along a section of the roadway when he was ambushed and shot multiple times by unknown assailants.
Residents in the community alerted the police, and upon arrival, the deceased was discovered lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
