Kingston, Jamaica – A 28-year-old Trench Town resident, Shackeem Porter, is facing serious charges after police discovered an illegal firearm and cocaine at his home.
Law enforcement officers conducted a search warrant at Porter’s Upper First Street residence on Saturday, December 28th, around 9:15 PM. The search yielded a Taurus G2c pistol equipped with a magazine containing ten 9mm rounds and a clear bag containing a substance suspected to be cocaine.
Porter, also known as ‘Squeeze’, was subsequently arrested and charged on Tuesday, December 31st. He now faces charges of possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
Porter is scheduled to appear in court on January 20th to answer to these charges.
