Jamaica News, April 7, 2018 – Trelawny Woman Perish
Trelawny, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – An elderly woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in a motor vehicle accident, which occurred along a section of the Braco main road in the parish of Trelawny on Friday, April 6. Two other male who were also traveling in the ill-fated vehicle are presently at hospital in critical condition.
The deceased has been identified as Nicaule Parchment, 52-year-old hotel worker of Orange Bay Estate in Hanover.
The Falmouth police have reported that, shortly after 4:00 pm, on Friday, Parchment and the other two men were traveling in a Honda Integra motor car along the Braco main road.
The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle which swerve to the right side of the road and collided into a Chevrolet Truck which was heading in the opposite direction.
Parchment who suffered head and body injuries, got trapped in the wreckage while the other two men were transported to the Falmouth hospital where they were treated and admitted.
The Falmouth police and firefighters were assisted by other motorists who attempted to free the female from the wreckage but she reportedly succumb on the spot.
Since the start of the year, a total of four persons have lost their lives in road accidents across the parish of Trelawny.
