Trelawny, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Trelawny Taxi Operator Death: Investigators in the parish of Trelawny have indicated that they have now made a breakthrough in the shooting death of a taxi operator in the parish on Monday afternoon.
The police say they have taken one man into custody for questioning in connection with the murder of 32-year-old Damion McFarlane, a taxi operator of Jackson Town and they are now in search of another man.
They also pointed out that they believed the murder is linked to the Lottery Scamming.
Reports are that shortly after 4:30 p.m on Monday, February 5th residents in Jackson Town alerted the police after hearing gunshots coming from a section of the area.
The police rushed to the location and upon arrival, they stumbled upon McFarlane’s body which was lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds behind a kitchen in the yard.
A search of the house resulted in the discovery of a large number of Leads which had names of residents living overseas. Two other men who were reported to have been at the house with the victim at the time was not seen.
Investigations led to the arrest of one of the men on Tuesday afternoon and the police are now hot on the trail of the other man.
