The Manchester police have arrested and charged a Trelawny man, who allegedly held up a female in Manchester on the weekend and robbed her of over $47,000 in cash.
The accused has been identified as 33-year-old, Claymair Sinclair, otherwise called ‘ Notchelus or Dwayne’, construction worker of Cedar Grove district, in Falmouth, Trelawny.
Reports by the Mandeville police are that about 5:15 pm, the female was walking along a section of Manchester Road, in Manchester, when she was attacked by Sinclair who was armed with a knife, and who held her up and robbed her of her cellphone and cash amounting to over $47,000.
Sinclair escaped on foot in the area, meanwhile, the female reported the matter to the police and following an investigation, Sinclair was taken into custody.
The man later gave the police a confession and was charged with Robbery with Aggravation.
