The Coral Gardens police are carrying out Investigations into an accident that occurred along a section of the Ironshore main road, in Montego Bay, St James, on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old O’Brien Cooper, Labourer of Sunderland district, in St James.
Reports are that shortly after 9:00 pm, Cooper was walking along the roadway in Ironshore, when he attempted to cross the roadway and ended up in the path of VW motor car.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the scene was processed and Cooper was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
