A major traffic alert has been issued for motorists travelling through the Bog Walk Gorge in St. Catherine, after a train derailed and overturned, causing serious obstruction in the area.
Reports are that the incident has reduced the busy roadway to single-lane traffic, triggering major delays and frustration for commuters.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has confirmed that the overturned train is blocking one side of the narrow roadway, making it extremely difficult for vehicles to pass.
Police Advisory:
Motorists are being strongly advised to avoid the Bog Walk Gorge and to use alternative routes where possible until the area is cleared.
Traffic officers are on the scene working to manage the flow and ensure public safety.
