Three Women Hospitalized After Truck Overturns in Marcus Garvey Drive Crash

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Three women were injured following a two-vehicle collision on Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston on Monday morning.

Reports indicate that a truck transporting marl allegedly ran a red light before crashing into a Toyota RAV4 sport utility vehicle travelling along the busy roadway. The force of the collision caused the truck to overturn.

Emergency personnel, including police officers and firefighters, quickly arrived at the scene. During the response, rescuers had to extricate the female driver of the SUV from the damaged vehicle.

The driver and two female passengers were transported to the Kingston Public Hospital for treatment.

Authorities report that the SUV driver remains in serious but stable condition.
