Hanover, Jamaica: Three Men Charged – The Hanover police have confirmed that they have arrested and charged three men in connection with the shooting of another man, who was shot and wounded at Montpellier community, also in Sandy Bay, on Tuesday, March 26.
They have been identified as 32-year-old Delroy Ellis, a painter, 29-year-old laborer Kinoe Ellis, otherwise called ‘Jovy,’ both of Hell Gate in Montpellier, Sandy Bay, and 21-year-old Uroy Wilson, otherwise called ‘Joe,’ of Chigwell also in Montpellier, Sandy Bay.
All three men have been charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony, and Wounding With Intent.
Reports are that about 8:00 pm, the victim was walking home along the roadway in Montpellier when all three accused, who were traveling on board a motor car, drove up to him.
It is further alleged that all three men alighted from the vehicle and opened fire, hitting the man multiple times, before driving away.
The Sandy Bay police were alerted, and upon arrival, the wounded man was rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital, where he was treated and admitted in serious condition.
Following an investigation, Delroy Ellis was apprehended at his home last Monday, Kinoe Ellis was arrested two days later, while Wilson was arrested on the weekend and slapped with charges.
