St Ann, Jamaica — Three men are now in police custody following the seizure of a firearm and ammunition during an operation along the Drax Hall main road on Sunday night.
Reports from the police indicate that a team of officers was conducting targeted activities in the area on April 5, 2026, when they intercepted a Toyota Wish motor car at approximately 10:28 p.m.
A search of the vehicle reportedly led to the discovery of a Beretta 9mm pistol along with a magazine containing four rounds of 9mm ammunition. The weapon was found concealed beneath the back seat of the car.
Following the find, all three occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody in connection with the seizure. However, their identities are being withheld at this time as investigations continue.
Law enforcement officials say the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to reduce the circulation of illegal firearms across the parish.
