Three Jamaicans are among 19 individuals charged in connection with a major United States drug trafficking investigation that authorities say targeted two large-scale narcotics distribution networks operating across multiple states.
The Jamaicans have been identified as 53-year-old Rohan Lamante Broadie, also known as “Glama G,” 39-year-old Marvin A. Taaff, and 41-year-old Traci-Ann Simone Ward.
According to the United States Department of Justice, the accused are facing federal charges related to conspiracies involving the distribution of cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other controlled substances.
Federal prosecutors allege that the criminal organisations operated across several states, including West Virginia, Maryland, and South Carolina, distributing significant quantities of illegal drugs over an extended period.
The indictments were unsealed following a coordinated law enforcement operation involving multiple federal, state, and local agencies. Investigators say the operation focused on dismantling networks responsible for supplying dangerous narcotics to communities throughout the region.
Authorities allege that the organisations distributed cocaine and cocaine base in Berkeley and Jefferson counties in West Virginia between 2023 and 2025. The investigation also uncovered links to broader drug trafficking activities extending beyond state borders.
The 19 defendants face a range of charges, including conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and other drug-related offences. If convicted, some of the accused could face lengthy prison sentences under federal law.
United States authorities have described the case as a significant blow against organised drug trafficking and warned that investigations remain ongoing.
Additional arrests and charges have not been ruled out as law enforcement agencies continue to pursue leads connected to the alleged trafficking networks.
The case highlights ongoing efforts by US authorities to combat the flow of illegal drugs, particularly fentanyl, which continues to fuel overdose deaths and public health concerns across the country.
