Gun Seized Hanover Police Operation: Three residents of Santoy District in Green Island, Hanover, have been charged following the seizure of an illegal firearm and ammunition during a police operation in the community.
Charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition are 36-year-old disc jockey Nicholas Gordon, otherwise known as “Jucky”, 22-year-old deliveryman Duwain Patterson, and 48-year-old janitor Princess Clayton.
According to reports from the Green Island Police, a team of officers conducted an operation in Santoy District at about 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 13. During a search of a house, the police reportedly discovered a Browning pistol fitted with a magazine containing five 9mm rounds of ammunition.
The three occupants were taken into custody in connection with the find.
Police said the accused were formally charged on Monday, June 15, following a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of their attorneys.
Their court dates are expected to be announced later.
