Kingston, Jamaica – An alleged shootout on Windward Road in Kingston ended in tragedy early Saturday morning as police shot and killed three men in what they describe as an armed standoff.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m., according to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
The men, who have not yet been identified, were reportedly armed at the time. Police say they recovered two firearms—a Ruger nine-millimeter pistol and a Sig Sauer nine-millimeter handgun, along with multiple rounds of ammunition at the scene.
Details of the confrontation remain unclear, and the JCF’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) has yet to reveal what led to the deadly exchange.
Authorities, however, stress that the incident is under thorough investigation, and they are seeking public assistance in identifying the deceased men.
