Costa Rica — Beloved actor and musician Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for his iconic role as Theodore Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has died at age 54.
Reports are that Warner accidentally drowned while vacationing in Costa Rica with his daughter, according to reliable sources.
Warner, who rose to fame in the 1980s as Theo Huxtable, was a staple of American television, earning an Emmy nomination and becoming a household name. He went on to star in the sitcom Malcolm & Eddie, lend his voice to The Magic School Bus, and even won a Grammy in 2015 for his musical work.
Most recently, Warner was hosting his podcast Not All Hood, with his latest episode released just three days before his passing.
Warner is survived by his wife and daughter, whose names he kept private throughout his career.
