St Andrew, Jamaica — Police have recovered the Glock pistol stolen from Corporal Christopher Smith, who was shot dead during a gas station robbery on Beechwood Avenue last December.
Around 2:00 p.m. Monday, Kingston Western police spotted three suspicious men in No Man’s Land, Jones Town. One dropped a firearm as they were accosted. It turned out to be Smith’s Glock, loaded with nine rounds.
A 22-year-old accountant from Love Street was arrested in connection with the gun.
Smith, 47, of Caymanas Bay, was killed on December 6, 2024, after stumbling on a robbery while buying fuel.
Earlier, Ornell “Nellie” Allen, 32, of Spanish Town, was charged with murder and other offences after police linked him to the getaway car. Another man is in custody but not yet charged.
Investigations continue.
