Westmoreland, Jamaica – A 17-year-old boy from Hanover has been charged with the brutal murder of a couple who were gunned down as they slept in their home in Negril, Westmoreland, in May. The chilling incident has sent shockwaves through the quiet community.
According to police reports, on the night of the attack, the perpetrators forcibly entered the couple’s home and unleashed a barrage of gunfire, hitting both victims multiple times.
The victims, identified as 62-year-old fisherman, Kevin Whitmore and 49-year-old Althea Hunter, were found critically wounded when authorities arrived on the scene.
The couple was rushed to a nearby hospital, where Whitmore was pronounced dead upon arrival. His partner, Hunter was treated and admitted in critical condition but later succumbed to her injuries.
