Taxi Operator Shot and Killed in Flankers, St James

Latest Jamaica News, St James (McKoy’s News): Taxi Operator Shot and Killed A man was shot and killed by gunmen in Flankers, St James, on Thursday afternoon, October 10.

He has been identified as 43-year-old Ainsworth Blake, otherwise called “Gouw” taxi operator of Central Avenue, also in Flankers.

Reports by the Coral Gardens police are that about 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, Blake was walking along a section of roadway when he was ambushed by armed men who shot him multiple times.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Blake was discovered lying along the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A police source revealed that Blake was fingered in a shooting incident which occurred at the Sangster’s International Airport intersection in Montego Bay, in January 2018.
