St Catherine, Jamaica: Taxi Operator Murdered – The St Catherine police have launched an investigation into the shooting death of a taxi operator in the Sligoville community of the parish on Thursday.
He has been identified as 49-year-old Tyrone Bowley from James Mountain district, also in Sligoville.
Reports indicate that around 1:00 pm, Bowley drove his car to a section of Jackson Main Road and was in the process of cutting a tree to make a wooden post when he was ambushed and shot multiple times.
Police were alerted, and upon arrival, Bowley was found lying in a pool of blood along the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
