St James, Jamaica: Alleged Gunmen Shot and Killed – Two unidentified men were fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with members of the security forces in Rose Heights, St James, on Thursday night.
Reports indicate that around 9:40 pm, a joint police and military operation was conducted along sections of Sean Crescent in the community.
Law enforcement officers reported encountering a group of men who opened fire at the team and dispersed in various directions.
Police stated that they engaged the gunmen in a heated gun battle, with the men firing from rooftops, trees, and behind buildings.
The officers returned fire, resulting in the fatal shooting of two of the men during the confrontation.
Two illegal 9mm pistols along with several rounds of ammunition were recovered from the deceased men.
