The Sandy Bay police in Hanover are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a taxi operator, who was gunned down at his home in Sandy Bay, Montpellier on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as St O’Brian Downey, otherwise called ‘Cuban’ a taxi operator also of Montpellier.
Reports by the Sandy Bay police are that on Tuesday night, June 27, Downey was at his house when men armed with handguns opened fire hitting him multiple times.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, Downey was rushed to the Cornwall Regional hospital where he was pronounced dead.
