Taxi Operator Murdered in Hopewell

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: Taxi Operator Murdered A 31-year -old taxi operator was shot and killed by a lone gunman in the community of Hopewell, in Hanover, on Thursday afternoon, March 28.

Dead is Shane Spence, taxi operator of Shooters Hill in Cold Spring, Hanover.

Reports by the police are that about 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Spence was in Hopewell Square, while sitting around the steering wheel of a Toyota Hiace minibus, which he used to operate as a taxi.

He was approached by a man, who brandished a handgun, which he used to shoot Spence some five times to his upper body.

The gunmen made his escape in a waiting motor car while Spence was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
