Jamaica Crime News, St James: Gunmen struck again in the community of Rose Heights in Montego Bay, St. James, on Friday afternoon, March 29, killing another male member of the community.

This recent shooting comes in the wake of another shooting which took place in the same proximity, on Thursday morning, which left two men dead, and three others shot and injured.

The police have not yet released the name of the latest victim, but our news team was told that shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Friday, the male victim was walking from a yard towards a section of the community known as Geen Tank, when he was ambushed by armed men and shot to death.

On Thursday morning, 35-year-old Dwayne Stennett, otherwise called “Rasta”, laborer and  Shane Williams, otherwise called ” Tino”, both of Rose Heights, were shot and killed by gunmen.

Reports by the Mount Salem Police are that shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, Stennett and Williams, were among a group of men standing in a yard in Rose Heights, when they were ambushed by a group of armed men.

The gunmen brandished handguns and opened fire hitting all five victims to their upper bodies, before making their escape on foot in the area.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the five wounded men were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where Stennett and Williams were pronounced dead, and the other three male victims treated and admitted in serious condition.
