Jamaica Crime News, St James: A popular taxi operator and two other men, who were found in possession of two 9-mm magazines, on Saturday, March 16, along Jarrett Street in Montego Bay, St James, were officially charged earlier this week.
30-year-old Kadmar Beadle of McCatty Street and Tucker address, 23-year-old Kemo Mclaughlin, unemployed of Westgate Hills and 33-year-old Davian Williams, a taxi operator of Over River, Sign, Orange, were all charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
According to the police, about 3:00 a.m. last Saturday, a team of officers were on patrol duties along a section of Jarrett Street in Montego Bay, when they intersected a Voxy bus which was being driven by Williams, with the two other men onboard as passengers.
During a search of the vehicle, two 9mm magazines, one which is an extended clip, were discovered in the vehicle.
All three men were taken into custody and subsequently slapped with charges. They are booked to appear in the Western Regional Gun Court at a later date.
