Kingston, Jamaica – Police have made an arrest in the investigation of the tragic murder of 14-year-old Price Johnson last week.
The suspect was apprehended on Sunday at approximately 3:50 pm at a Crescent Road address in St. Andrew, according to the Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
Johnson, a student at Haile Selassie High School, was sexually assaulted and murdered in her Palm Grove Court home on Spanish Town Road on Thursday evening. The brutal crime has shocked the community and sparked widespread grief.
The CIB has stated that the investigation is ongoing and that they are actively pursuing leads. Further updates will be released as the probe progresses.
Authorities continue to urge anyone with information related to the case to come forward and assist in their investigation.
