Sunday Souls Brings Joy to Montego Bay

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica — Sunday Souls delivered another memorable night of music and entertainment on Sunday, August 23, with patrons turning out in large numbers to enjoy an evening of classic reggae and soulful selections at the Harbour City car park in Montego Bay.

For one enthusiastic patron, the highlight of the night was the appearance of veteran reggae singer Tanya Stephens, who performed for free as part of the weekly event.

“I really enjoyed myself this Sunday night at the Sunday Souls party. I want to congratulate the promoters for this magnificent show. Tanya Stephens is one of my favourite female artistes, and with her appearing at Sunday Souls for free, I couldn’t miss it,” the patron said.

Another visitor, who identified herself as Shereen, described the turnout as one of the biggest she has seen since attending the weekly event.

“This is the biggest crowd I have seen since coming to this weekly party. It was so nice to see Tanya Stephens back in Montego Bay after such a long absence. I really enjoyed myself,” she said.

The evening got off to an energetic start with media personality Janet Silvera, who took patrons on a trip down memory lane with a selection of classic songs. Her musical choices quickly had the crowd skanking and singing along, while she also doubled as the event’s master of ceremonies.

Following Silvera’s segment, ZJ Sparkes raised the energy even further, keeping patrons entertained and taking the atmosphere to fever pitch.

The highly anticipated moment of the night came when Tanya Stephens took the stage. The acclaimed singer treated fans to a selection of her classic hits, including “Handle the Ride,” “It’s a Pity,” “Wicked” and “Crucial.”

Stephens’ performance proved to be a major crowd-pleaser, particularly among the female patrons, many of whom sang along word for word to her songs.

The night ended on a high note, with Bubbles rounding off the event with an entertaining dance segment.

Sunday Souls continues to build momentum as a weekly entertainment fixture in Montego Bay, bringing together music lovers for an evening of nostalgia, dancing and live entertainment.
