Police have charged a 40-year-old construction worker in connection with a violent home invasion in Stony Hill, St Andrew, where a resident was seriously injured during an attack.
The accused, Abraham Brown, is facing charges of burglary and wounding with intent. Arrangements are currently being made for his court appearance.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on Friday, December 12, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Investigators say Brown was part of a group of men armed with machetes who forced their way into a dwelling in the community.
During the break-in, the occupant of the house was allegedly assaulted and sustained multiple chop wounds to different areas of his body. The attackers reportedly fled the scene on foot shortly after the incident.
Residents in the area assisted the injured man and transported him to hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. The matter was subsequently reported to the police.
