Stolen Vehicles Found Scrapped in Mountain View Gully

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The Kingston Eastern police have recovered five scrapped motor vehicles, suspected to be stolen, from a section of Burger Gully in Mountain View. The discovery was made during an operation conducted by the Elletson Road police on Tuesday.

The recovered vehicles are believed to be two white Nissan AD Wagons, a white Toyota Probox, a white Toyota Allion, and a grey Toyota Voxy. All five vehicles were found completely stripped of parts.

According to reports from the Elletson Road police, the operation took place around 1:00 PM. Lawmen were conducting a search of an unoccupied premises in the area when they discovered the scrapped vehicles.

Based on the condition of the vehicles, police theorize that they were stolen from other locations and brought to the gully to be dismantled for parts. The discovery has prompted an investigation into a potential organized vehicle theft and dismantling operation.

The Elletson Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) is urging individuals who have recently lost vehicles matching the descriptions to come forward and contact them at 876-928-4200, call the 119 police emergency number, or visit their nearest police station.

The police are continuing their investigation into the matter and are seeking any information that may lead to the apprehension of those involved in the vehicle thefts and dismantling operation.
