A 67-year-old taxi operator was chopped to death in a house along Cameron Hill, St Elizabeth, on Sunday, September 29.
He has been identified as Stafford Wright, who resides at Heslop Avenue, in Kingston 2.
Reports by the Black River police are that about 3:25 p.m., on Sunday, residents hear cries for help coming from a house in Cameron Hill, and a man was later seen running from the building.
The residents went to investigate and stumbled upon the taxi man’s body which was lying in the bedroom of the house with multiple chop wounds.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue for a post mortem examination.
