Latest Jamaica News, St Thomas (McKoy’s News): Residents in St Thomas reportedly captured an alleged robber, who broke into a couple’s home and stole $18,000. He was later handed over to the police.
The suspect is identified as 29-year-old Otis Barnes, otherwise called ‘John John’, of White Horses district and Botany Bay district, both in St Thomas. Barnes was arrested and charged with Burglary, Robbery with aggravation, Assault at common-law, and Illegal possession of firearm.
According to reports, Barnes and another armed man allegedly entered a couple’s home and robbed them of $18, 000.
The couple raised an alarm and residents immediately rushed to their assistance, during which Barnes was apprehended, and handed him over to the police. The other suspect managed to escape.
