SEAFORTH, St Thomas — Police investigators have launched a probe into the brutal killing of a woman in Seaforth, St Thomas, after she was discovered with multiple stab wounds at a residence where she was employed.
The deceased has been identified as Carolyn Walker, a domestic helper believed to be in her 50s.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, when Walker was attacked by an unknown assailant—or possibly multiple attackers—at the house where she worked.
Her body was discovered lying in a pool of blood by another employee assigned to the same premises. The discovery prompted an immediate call to the police, who responded swiftly and processed the crime scene.
Walker was later pronounced dead.
As of Thursday, no motive has been determined for the killing. However, police sources say that several individuals who were also working at the property are expected to be questioned as part of ongoing investigations.
The incident has left the usually quiet Seaforth community shaken, as residents grapple with the violent death of a woman described as humble and hardworking.
