A 45-year-old man from the parish of St Thomas died from injuries he sustained after the tank on a concrete mixer truck overturned on him on the compound of the China Harbour Engineering Company on Monday.
He has been identified as Omar Menns of Golden Grove, St Thomas.
Reports are that around 11:00 a.m., Menns was clearing concrete that had started to harden at the entrance to the concrete mixer tank when the large tank somehow gave way and fell on top of him.
His lifeless body was pulled from underneath the tank minutes later and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
