St Mary Taxi Driver Murdered by Gunmen Posing as Passengers

St. Mary, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – St Mary Taxi Driver Murdered: the St Mary police are now carrying out investigations behind the shooting death of a taxi operator in the area last Monday night, May 8, 2017.

The victim has been identified as Georgeo Thompson, otherwise called Dangles or Popuss, 25-year-old of Albion Mountain in the parish.

Police report that at about 11:20 pm on Monday, the victim had just picked up a female passenger in Port Maria and was driving along the Roslyn Road when he was stopped by two men posing as passengers.

He stopped and picked up the men who brandished handguns and held him at gunpoint.

They proceeded to rob him of cash and jewelry and then open fire hitting him to the upper regions of his body.

The gunmen then made their escape on foot in the area.
