St Mary, Jamaica: St Mary Painter Fatally Shot — A 47-year-old painter from Gayle was tragically gunned down after leaving home to buy sugar on Friday, June 28, at approximately 8:00 p.m.
The deceased has been identified as Courtney “Stone” White, a resident of Top Pen in Gayle. According to reports, White had been visiting his child’s mother in Mile Gully, Gayle, when he mentioned craving cornflakes. Discovering there was no sugar, he decided to drive to a nearby shop to purchase some, using a vehicle belonging to his niece.
Upon his return from the shop, residents reported hearing multiple gunshots. When they went to investigate, they found White’s lifeless body on the ground beside the vehicle, with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The police were called to the scene, where they discovered nine spent casings nearby. The St Mary Criminal Investigation Bureau is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
Authorities are appealing to anyone with information that could assist in solving this case to come forward.
