St James, Jamaica – A 21-year-old woman has been charged with malicious communication after allegedly posting indecent and obscene photos of another woman on social media.
The accused, Anneisha Murray, otherwise known as “Kaydian” of Tower Hill, St James, was charged in connection with a two-week-long incident that reportedly took place between Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 15.
According to the Montego Bay police, the victim discovered that explicit images of her had been shared online and reported the matter to authorities. Following an investigation, law enforcement conducted an operation at Murray’s residence on Saturday, where she was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
Murray’s court date is currently being finalized as the police continue their investigations. Authorities are urging the public to be mindful of Jamaica’s Cybercrimes Act, which penalizes the unauthorized sharing of explicit or offensive content online.
