St. James, Jamaica (McN) – St. James Police Seeks Man in Connection With Taximan’s Death
The area one Police in St. James say they are now in search of a man known only as Marlon, in connection with the murder of a Taxi Operator in Flankers community earlier this week.
The Victim, Demar Poyser, 26 years-old of New Road in Providence Heights was stabbed by the accused on December 31st, 2016. He died at the Corwall Regional Hospital on January 3rd, 2017.
Reports by the Coral Gardens Police are, that about 1:30 pm on December 31st, Poyser drove his taxi motor care to his yard in New Road. On Reaching the gate he came upon a water hose which was stretched across the gate. He proceeded to remove the water hose, and, this resulted in and quarrel between him and the accused, with whom he shared the yard and, who is said to be the owner of the hose.
The man known only as Marlon, used a knife to stab Poyser in the regions of his upper body – and fled the scene.
The Taxi Operator was rushed to Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition. The victim succumb to his injuries three days later.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the said Marlon, is asked to contact the Coral Gardens Police immediately.
