The Montego Bay Police have charged 37-year-old Rayon Ramsay, known by the aliases ‘Odaine’ and ‘Crazy,’ from Farm Heights, St. James. This follows the discovery of a firearm within his community on Thursday, January 25.
Reports provided by the Montego Bay Police detail that at approximately 7:30 p.m., a patrol team spotted Ramsay behind the wheel of a white Nissan AD wagon, without a registration plate. Officers signaled for him to stop, and upon compliance, subjected him to a thorough search. During the process, law enforcement officers uncovered a Taurus G3 Pistol, complete with an empty magazine, concealed in his waistband. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of another empty magazine.
Following an interview conducted on Monday, January 29, Ramsay was formally charged with Possession of a prohibited weapon. Plans for his court appearance are currently underway.
