Jamaica Crime News, St James: The Area One Zone Four Detectives have now launched a manhunt for a man who they say is linked to several shootings and murders, within the Anchovy policing area, and who also managed to elude a team of officers on Sunday, February 17, leaving behind two police ballistic vests, a number of army fatigues, and pieces of bedding.
The police say the name of the wanted man is being withheld pending further investigation.
Reports are about 1:00 p.m., on Sunday, a team of officers carried out an operation at a section of Anchovy, known as York Bush.
The lawmen stated that they went to the area in search of gunmen and upon reaching a premises, the wanted man was seen running from bushes located immediately behind a house occupied by his common-law wife.
The bushes were searched and the lawmen discovered the army fatigues, two police ballistic vests and several bedding material.
The police are presently combing sections of the area for the gunman.
